Car Drive Anthem was a post-hardcore band from St. Gallen/Switzerland and was formed in late 2007 by four friends out of the ashes of their old bands (DieByDesign and Moment Of Despair). In fall 2008 they went to the Traintown-Studios to record their first full-length „Time To Steal Away“ which was released over S.U.M.S.-Records in spring 2009. To support the first record, Car Drive Anthem played a lot of national and international shows on which they shared the stage with bands like „Fire In The Attic“, „Strung Out“, „Polar Bear Club“, „Broadway Calls“ and many more.

In spring/summer 2010 the band started writing new songs for their second full-length album „If We Don’t Follow Our Hearts“ which was recorded in fall 2010 at the Traintown-Studios. This second piece came out in february 2011 over S.U.M.S.-Records again. A tour through Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark followed in march/april 2011 and stages have got shared with bands like „Hot Water Music“, „Red City Radio“, „Make Do And Mend“ or „La Dispute“.

In spring 2012 the band got signed by Berrymore & Flare on which they released a concept digital-release before they broke up.

It’s pretty hard to describe Car Drive Anthem’s sound precisely. Some call it hardcore, some call it punk-rock and some call it pop for adults. Even though you can’t miss the influence by bands like „Hot Water Music“, „Planes Mistaken For Stars“ or „Grade“ had to them, Car Drive Anthem created their own interpretation of honest and whiskey-voiced guitar-music.
